St. Theresa Point Regional Centre is located in St. Theresa Point First Nation in northeastern Manitoba. St. Theresa Point has a population of 3182, of which, 2972 are on reserve and 220 off reserve. St, Theresa Point First Nation is an isolated community, and is accessible only by plane year round and by winter road in the winter months to Winnipeg.
 
St. Theresa Point is one of four communities in the Island Lake area, which has a total population of approximately 10,000 people. The Regional Centre is committed to providing education and training opportunities to these communities.
 
The Regional Centre prides itself in developing and empowering all learners with the knowledge and skills essential for the economic and social well being of the community.
Introduction
On June 14, 2004 St. Theresa Point First Nation and Keewatin Community College, now know as University College of the North, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and entered into a partnership to create the St. Theresa Point Regional Centre.
 
On July 1, 2003, this partnership enabled the St. Theresa Point Regional Centre to begin delivering quality community based post secondary and adult training to its membership and surrounding communities.
 
Mandate

The University College of the North Regional Centre is committed to delivering quality education and training that will enable the students to grow as lifelong learners and to contribute to a healthy and prosperous society.
