UCN Thompson to Host SSHRC-Funded Research Group Studying the Impacts of Hydropower in MB

Winnipeg, Manitoba - MAY 11, 2018 - On May 15th, Wa Ni Ska Tan: An Alliance of Hydro-Impacted Communities will be meeting in Thompson for their annual Spring Research Gathering. Wa Ni Ska Tan is a cross-regional research alliance focusing on the implications of Hydro development for environments and Indigenous communities in Manitoba and Canada. UCN has generously donated meeting space for this event. Sessions and workshops will be held at the UCN Thompson campus from May 15 – 17 as well as the local Friendship Centre in Thompson.
